Couldn’t sleep the night before, so I decided to wake up early and take a drive by some vineyards in San Luis Obispo to catch the sun rise.

Happened to have grabbed my camera on the way to the beach, where I met the nicest kid, Charlie Wiswall, who was just setting up his kite and allowed me to take some pics. Best of luck to him!

When taking sunset pictures at Gaviota Beach, I ran into a few college students from Santa Barbara doing their own photo shoot, and they let me dive in. Much appreciated — and I hope you enjoy!

Since moving to the central coast of California a couple years ago, I’d heard about the wild flowers…but I just got to go see them this week. Amazing. All the rain we’ve received this 2016-17 season has produced some deep colors and much beauty.

The California coast is breathtaking. Big Sur is a state park that has the most picturesque coastal highway. I took this photo on my road trip through Big Sur. I took the drone up to 1600 feet and was able to snap this beautiful photo.

I took a weekend camping trip to the Channel Islands and ended up kayaking through this arch. This island is one of the smaller islands, very desolate, but offering amazing features just off the south end.

As seen from a trail in Big Sur. I remember thinking that I could launch a line of new age postcards with the photos that I shot there.

I decided to make the drive to Grimes Canyon, all the way from Long Beach which took me about 2 hours. I went by myself. Turned out good. I caught a great sunset.

I got to spend this Thanksgiving weekend at my in-laws beautiful beach house in Malibu. One morning, I woke up to see the sunrise. As the sun was coming up, I walked outside to go down the beach house stairs to the beach. This was the view and it was too good not to snap a photo or two of.
